City plagued by utility rate negotiations

Dalhart City Administrator James Stroud is busy with three different utility rate cases in which he and officials at the City of Amarillo are fighting two utility companies in hopes to keep user rates under control.
This week the council took action on one of the cases when they approved the suspension of the proposed rates by Xcel Energy, the company which supplies the area electricity.
