Dalhart Law Enforcement Students Take to the Streets

This school year the Advanced Law Enforcement students at Dalhart High School have been given the opportunity to see what it is really like to be a Police Officer in Dalhart, TX. For the first time this year Dalhart High School offered a Law Enforcement Practicum class for the Advanced Law Enforcement Students.

The class gives students the opportunities to not only learn about what police officer’s do by studying in the classroom but they also get the opportunity to ride along with the Dalhart Police officers and see first-hand what the officer’s do on a daily basis. There are seven students enrolled in the course this year and they are given the opportunity to ride along with the Dalhart Police Department on a daily basis. “I respect the cops for putting their lives on the line to protect me”- Jackson Cearley.
