Music Jubilee draws crowd

Posted by: tdt -

The High School Auditorium was filled with the sounds of Texas Gospel and Country Music Saturday evening when Paul’s Journey took center stage to play to the nearly full house. Paul’s Journey was joined by performances by Jeanette Lunsford Brolt Bontke and Bergundy Rose, both originally from Dumas.

Dallam County Sheriff Bruce Scott and Hartley Sheriff Franky Scott teamed up to bring the night of music and family fun during the 4th Annual Texas Music Jubilee. Paul’s Journey, a gospel quartet, is a full time music ministry.

They travel about 200 days per year bringing their message across Texas and the South. “We want to present a program that is not only entertaining but uplifting to the soul as well,” it says in a release from the band. “Wherever the Lord sends us, we go with these thoughts in mind: lift up the name of Jesus, to see lost souls saved and to see other Christians touched by God.”
