New dog pound almost ready for animals

The City of Dalhart will soon have a brand new Animal Control facility (dog pound) building which will house stray and lost dogs picked up by the city’s animal control officer.
City Public Works Director Dennis Rojas made the announcement to the city council during the regular meeting Monday (Oct. 7) that, other than a few small fixtures needing to be installed the new facility, is almost ready for business.
