Code Enforcement dept. hopes to weed out messy yards

After the rains of July and August the area greened-up more than normal and with that, grass and weeds grew higher and quicker than a normal year.
What that means for Dalhart City Code Enforcement Officer Paul Brown, he and his staff have been extra busy making sure home and lot owners’ grass and weeds don’t become too much of a nuisance, but more importantly that lots remain up to code in terms of the amount of weeds and debris that may be on the property, or that the height of grass doesn’t get out of control. Brown said grass height can’t get over 12”.
