Council signs off on budget and Capital Outlay funds

The City of Dalhart is beginning a new budget year on Oct. 1 and has several Capitlal Outlay projects and items approved for the next fiscal cycle.
The council approved general fund budget expenses in the amount of $5,174,847 and approved a Water and Sewer fund budget expenses at $2,585,815. The enterprise fund is where the water and sewer expenses come out of and are revenue generating funds and those expenses are offset in part by customers using these services.
The city budgeted $55,000 for a new fire truck, and is hoping to receive a Texas Forest Service grant in the same amount to help pay for the new truck.
