FOR THE DALHART TEXAN
The United Family, their partners and suppliers raised a record $250,000 – including $4,118.96 for Dallam-Hartley Counties United Way – at the 22nd annual Jacky Pierce Charity Classic Aug. 25-26 at The Rawls Course in Lubbock.
The tournament has now raised more than $2.8 million for local charities since its inception in 1991.
According to Ryan Kennedy, Grocery Manager at the Dalhart store, the United Family of supermarkets has always supported the United Way campaign as a way to give back to the community.
“Our company is all about the local communities we serve,” Kennedy said. “The United Way is a great way to give back to our community and see a direct impact to the communities we serve.”
Kennedy said The United Family not only holds events to raise money for the United Way Campaign, but team members also donate their own resources to the cause.
“We are already starting the new campaign for next year and offering out team members the ability to participate at any level they can,” he added.
