Jotting Judi - Walking the Walk

Talking the Talk

I have been on a ten day journey from Pennsylvania, to Texas, New Mexico and Colorado, traveled in three time zones, rode in planes, trams and cars, and slept in four locations. I dined on authentic Mexican tacos in Raton, juicy steak at Outback in Colorado, and meals at friends and family’s homes along the way. I stood in a long line at the famous XIT Rodeo and Reunion in Dalhart, Texas to get a huge plate of the best “free” BBQ Texas has to offer. Then I got soaked to the skin while watching the XIT Rodeo.
I walked and walked in the famous outlet mall in Castle Rock, Colorado and did more of the same in the amazing zoo, built right on the mountainside in Colorado Springs.
On the plane coming home I relived some interesting conversations I heard and recalled people I saw on my ten day journey.  During a four hour layover in the Dallas airport I found myself in an inescapable people watching situation. I was seated at the food bar in TGIF when a man sat down beside me and got out his iPad to play a game.  Soon a man sat down beside him and, seeing what he was playing, began to discuss the game, the level of difficulty and on and on.  I had no clue! Later, seated in the waiting area I heard a conversation behind me about the latest Hollywood scandal. I heard people argue. I was drawn away from my crossword puzzle by the sound of a child kicking and screaming while the attending parent barked out orders that caused more screaming.
