Dalhart native Chance Gilmore will be the featured pocket artist at First National Bank during the month of August. Chance is the son of Kathy “Tow” Gilmore and Rusty Gilmore. Chance is very proud to have received the majority of his education in the Dalhart school system; however, he graduated from Canyon High School in 2002.
Chance attended Amarillo College following graduation and moved to Austin in 2005.  His move and passion for music led him on an incredible journey with a popular Austin band called Soldier Thread and he performed with the Austin icon for several years.
In 2009, he found another love, photography. His new enthusiasm for photography was almost accidental. While he has had a handful of paid gigs to feed his love for music, he enjoys photography more as a hobby. Chance spends his spare time wandering around and just shooting anything that happens to catch his attention.
