The FNB Coffee Club

A tradition that started 20 years or more ago, “Coffee at the First National Bank.” This was started by the late John Colquitt Jr., then president of the bank, Scot Renick, Phil Davis who are still with the bank and Duane Brewer, longtime with Dalhart Federal Savings and Loan. Those that came, sometimes every day were honored with a cup with their name on it and the FNB Logo.
Through the years there have been many coffee drinkers, most men and a few women. Those men that are there now at 9:00 a.m. are retired but still enjoy visiting and catching up on what has been happening with them, their families and other tidbits of news. Sometimes when one of the Texan employees went down for coffee they came away with a story or two. Some could be put in the next edition some had to be ignored.  The 9:00 a.m. group usually includes Dr. Al Abdullah, Orville Finch, Tommy Sherrill, Huie Stanley, Earl Pharis, Phil Holmes and Charles Steele.
