The agenda was short and attendance was low for the regular meeting of the Dalhart City Council on Tuesday, June 25.
Councilman Phillip Hass, Ward 2 was re-elected to his seat in the May 11, 2013 election and Councilman Ronnie Hanbury, Ward 2 was appointed in a unanimous vote to fill the unexpired term of Mayor Kurtis W. Thomas. The two council members took the oath of office and were sworn in by Frances Childers.
The council held a public hearing and second reading of Ordinance of 2013-10. This ordinance will change the zoning of the Presbyterian Church recently purchased by St Anthony’s Catholic Church located on Scott Street. In addition to the public hearing and reading the council unanimously voted to rezone the property.
