2013 area Salutatorians
Cassidy Aline Horn is the daughter of Amy and Powder “Ray” Horn.
While in school, Cassidy was active in yearbook for three years, basketball for two years, cross country for two years, UIL Academic Regional Qualifier for four years, UIL State Qualifier for two years, 3 tops in Texas yearbook awards, Who’s who for three years, 2013 Miss CHS, 2012 Channing Harvest Queen, and All State Journalism Staff 2012. She was also the 75th annual XIT Rodeo Queen.
She currently is the owner of cassidyhornphoto.com.
Her favorite teacher is her journalism teacher, Rhonda Ziegler.
In her spare time, Cassidy enjoys writing, taking photos, being a cowgirl, and reading.
Jack Ryan Clark is the son of Pam and J.D. Clark.
In school, Jack participated in FFA from 2009-2013, Basketball from 2009-2012, cross country from 2009-2012, track from 2010-2011, One-Act Play in 2010, and 4-H from 2009-2013. He was the Amarillo District FFA President from 2011-2012, Area I FFA President from 2012-2013, NHS from 2009-2013, was state qualifier in cross country in 2011 and state qualifier in social studies in 2011 and 2012.
He participated in Youth REDD Group from 2009-2013, Merrybelle’s Christmas from 2011-2012, St. Anthony’s Church Oktoberfest and Fieesta from 2009-2012, Washington Leadership Conference and packaged 40,000 meals for Haiti earthquake victims.
Whitney Grace Speer is the daughter of Kimberly and Roy Speer. Her school activities include basketball, One Act Play, Track, Cross country, UIL, NWS, and FFA. Whitney’s community activities include Youth.
Whitney’s favorite teacher is Mrs. Cantrell. Her most memorable event is the Desperation Conference in 2012. Her hobbies include reading and playing basketball.
After graduation, Whitney plans to attend West Texas A & M University and is undecided on a major at this time.
