The Lady Wolves like to play long ball, but this past weekend they ran into a Snyder team that used their speed to defeat the Lady Wolves. The Lady Tigers tried to bunt almost every time they approached the plate and were able to get runners on base and then steal to take advantage of the Lady Wolves.
Dalhart didn’t play their best game as they committed five errors in the game, and the Snyder bunting helped to eliminate the effects of the change up that Kilee Halbert had used so effectively all season. Snyder defeated Dalhart 12-2 to take a one game lead in the series.
Halbert had six strike outs in six innings but allowed 12 runs on 11 hits. The Lady Wolves on the other hand struggled at the plate and scored two runs on four hits, and when they did get hits they weren’t able to capitalize on them by stringing together more than one run in a row. The Lady Wolves left 10 runners on base, which added to the frustration. Halbert led the team with one double while Aly Hales, Dianeth Davila and Joselyn Martinez all added a hit.
