Jotting Judi - No place to hide

I love the story of Zacchaeus in the Bible.  Maybe it’s because one of my sons would bring me the Bible story book and ask me to read it over and over. (You’ll find it in Luke 19: 1-9)  At the end of the reading we would sing the little song, “Zacchaeus was a wee little man.”
It is a great story! This little, sawed-off, Jewish guy; maybe the size of Danny De Vito, had somehow survived in a world of tall people.  I imagine as kid he was the brunt of all the jokes.  Today he would be the kid who gets bullied.  So he set out to climb the financial ladder.  He wasn’t satisfied to be just a tax collector. Nope! He decided to go for the gold and with it he lined his pockets.  He became, the Chief Tax Collector. But, he was despised as a ruthless crook in eyes of many. He had been handed one of those labels I wrote about last week. His read; SINNER!
Zacchaeus had a burning desire; he wanted to see Jesus. He heard the stories about this man called Jesus.  He knew Jesus sometimes hung around with “less desirables.”  He knew some called Him, Messiah.  He just wanted a glimpse!
