An obstacle course fundraiser was held on Saturday, April 20 to benefit the Twilight Fund. Local men and women made their way through the physical boot camp style obstacle course to help “Cross Out Cancer.”
The course began with each contestant making their way over three boxes by jumping over or on the box; the next step was to complete the task of throwing a large, weighted ball through a tire swinging from a bar over the competitors head. The contestants were required to flip a large tire over twice and then proceed through a tire trail to a wall; the competitors were required to attempt to get over the wall by using a rope. That portion of the obstacle course was followed by a belly crawl through a mud pit and hay maze that led the athletes over the fence to buckets of water that had to be carried to a station where the contestants carried weights over their head to the finish line.
The contestants were judged on their number of attempts, completion of individual tasks in the obstacle and amount of time they used to complete the entire obstacle course.
