The Dalhart Police Department (DPD) made the announcement on Tuesday, March 26 that the DPD icon will retire. Captain Robert Stout will end his 31 year tour of duty on Friday, April 5.
In a press release from Sgt David Conner he stated, Captain Stout has held a distinguished 31 year career with the Dalhart Police Department starting on February 8, 1982 as a patrol officer.  Captain Stout is well known for his gracious demeanor and professional conduct not only while in uniform but in his off duty life that we should all strive to imitate. The Dalhart community is better for having Captain Stout patrol its brick streets.
