Posted by: tdt -

Emergency response personnel answered a call on Friday, March 8 around noon at Hunter Construction located on U. S Highway 54 (Seventh Street). A crane operated by Martin Alvardo crashed to the ground.
Alvardo was removing a steal constructed silo that held cement for the local construction company. The 35 foot structure was being disassembled to rebuild the super structure underneath the silo.
Hunter Construction purchased the 1980’s model crane approximately five years ago.
