Jotting Judi - Savor the View
I thought the day might not come! I am writing this Jotting Judi at the dining room table in our home in Bethel Park, PA. All of the road blocks that led to this moment seemed unnecessary and fruitless. Days turned into weeks; six of them to be exact.
Looking back I can see the hand of God as He directed each twist and turn so we would not make a mistake, get the wrong house and end up in the wrong location. Oh the mistake we would have made if we chose house number one with the electrical issues or house number two with asbestos and mold. We would have missed the greatest blessing of all; being allowed to share the reason we would leave the dazzling metro lights of Dallas to be knee deep in snow. (The main reason; to be family support to our daughter Autumn and her family during a high risk pregnancy.)
There are stories in Scripture where people tried to hurry God. The most famous is Abraham and the promise of a son. He was promised; by God that he and Sarah would have a son and their descendants would be uncountable. Instead of savoring the views while he waited, they took matters into their own hands and God had to clean up the aftermath.
