DPD Search warrant nets two arrests

Dalhart Police Department officers executed a search warrant on a residence located at 102 Osceola, on Tuesday, January 22. During the search DPD officers found 28.9 grams of what is believed to be methamphetamines. The value of the alleged narcotics would be approximately $3,000.00. In addition to the confiscation of the alleged methamphetamines, officers seized narcotics contraband.
Christopher Ray Bates, a white male was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. Bates has had other drug related arrests in the Dalhart area, according to Dallam County Sheriff, Bruce Scott. Bates is being held on a $260,000 bond.
During the execution of the search warrant, Laurie Ann Castillo was also in the residence of Osceola. Castillo was arrested on three outstanding Dallam County warrants.
