“I don’t think I’ve seen any better livestock than what I’ve seen right her today in Dalhart,” stated Jordan Klem a judge for the 2013 Bi-County Livestock Show. Klem judged the goats and sheep as the show began on Wednesday, January 16. Klem is a recent graduate of Texas Tech with a degree in Animal Science. Klem is resident of Newhome and is working on his family’s farm. “I’ve been judging for two or three years and I love it,” added Klem.
Tanner Reynolds wrestled a Grand Champion title out of his goat in the heavy weight division, and Caitlyn Woody’s goat took Reserve Champion. Both of the exhibitors are residents of Channing.
Johnathan Hall just smiled as he explained blowing the shavings off of his steer, Jett, “He is like a kid, I just washed and dried him and he decided to roll in the shavings.” Hall is a senior at Channing High School and a Junior Board member. He is the son of Beverly and late John Hall of Channing.
