DCA students wow with “The Secret of Snowflake County”

Wednesday and Thursday night, the kids at Dalhart Christian Academy performed their annual Christmas program, “The Secret of Snowflake County”, to family and friends in the First Baptist Church sanctuary. Directed by DCA first grade teacher Tammy Schniederjan, the play examined all the glitter and glam put on the Christmas holidays when the true secret of Christmas is really that miracle of the Baby in the manger.
Pint-sized snowflakes, boot-scootin cowboy and cowgirl angels, graceful ballerinas, and jolly little elves danced across the stage as several students donned in scarves and snowboots sang angelic solos, while even rapping a beat or two to the rhythm of our favorite Christmas melodies. Though the weather outside was frightful, the laughter of the children inside was delightful; and I daresay, we all left the building acutely aware of the victory of Christ in this broken world today.
Hark the herald angels sing……Glory to the newborn King!
