“Farmin….. It’s in the genes,” was the theme for the 2012 annual stocker holder’s meeting held Thursday, November 15. The 79th Annual meeting was designed to bring members and guests together with the board members and employees. The members and guests were welcomed by the Co-op employees into the decorated coliseum complete with John Deere tractors holding rain gages and calendars, blue table cloths and small wheat plants on each table topped with small farm implements.
Co-op members entered the coliseum and were signed up for door prizes, donated by Dalhart Consumers Fuel Association (DCFA) and several DCFA vendors. Members were also given their patronage checks and a copy of the auditor’s report. The attendees were served brisket chili, cornbread, fruit, cake, ice cream and drinks by the Dalhart High School Cross Country team, who had recently won sixth place in the state track meet.
