Dalhart’s honoring all who served

Posted by: tdt -

Dalhart’s Veterans Day Parade and Celebration began windy on Saturday, November 10 on Denrock. The parade spectators were waving at local participants and honoring those who have previously served and those brave men and women currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.  The XIT Rangers sponsor and organize the Veterans Day Parade and Celebration each year and this year was no different. Dick Knight, Army Lieutenant Colonel, retired spear headed and coordinated the weekend event.
The parade procession ended at Seventh Street Park, but the festivities were far from over. Colonel William McRae of the 41st Fire Brigade, 1st Calvary Division at Ft. Hood addressed the community again this year with inspiring words that paid the utmost tribute to the Americans that have honored their country by giving their ultimate all.
