DHS Theatre Department to perform

The Dalhart High School Theatre Department will present the musical drama Man of La Mancha a must see performance. The students have been rehearsing daily  and will open their rendition of this all time favorite musical on Saturday, November 17, at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday November 18, at 2:00 p.m. in the Dalhart High School Auditorium. Cast members are Jerrick Cendejas, Kelsey McKay, Micah Schneider, Juan Figueroa, Cody Figures, Lea Baumert, Lizzie Pliego, Marisa Mariscal, Sidney Avila, Madison Pharis, Zach Frische, Orin Atha and Foster Conner. Crew members are Becky Ruppanner, Ashton Frische, Michael Braden, Eliyah Feek, Madison Pharis,   Lea Baumert,  Josh Dufur, JW Estes,  Gabbi Hames,  Selina Moreno and the pianist is Steve Simpson.
This musical version of Don Quixote is framed by an incident allegedly from the life of its author, Miguel de Cervantes. Quixote is the mad, aging nobleman who embarrasses his respectable family by his adventures. Backed by his faithful sidekick Sancho Panza, he duels windmills and defends his perfect lady Dulcinea, who is actually a downtrodden Harlot named Aldonza.
