Hartley County chase leads to arrest

Mathew Register a 38 year old male from Colorado took local law enforcement officials on a joy ride and ultimately a road side search for evidence on Wednesday, October 24 shortly before noon.
DPS troopers, Hartley County Sheriff, Franky Scott, Hartley County deputies, Dalhart Police Chief, Gary Sinclair and Dalhart Police Department officers spent the majority of the afternoon of October 24 walking the side of Highway 87 and several county roads marking evidence locations where plastic bags had been emptied and tossed from the window of a moving vehicle driven by Register.
