Historical documents viewed in Dalhart

The XIT museum hosted Dr. David Baum of the Remnant Trust on Sunday, October 21 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Baum gave a presentation on a collection which is made up of ancient and rare documents and volumes available to colleges, universities and other organizations for use by students, faculty, scholars and members of the public who are encouraged to read, hold and discuss these original works. The collection included the great writings of civilization, such as the Magna Carta, the Declaration of Independence and the Emancipation Proclamation. In addition to these great historical documents, the Remnant Trust includes examples of early illustrations of the Bible and numerous illustrated manuscripts as well as the works of Aristotle and President Abraham Lincoln.
