Honoring those who served

This year’s Veterans Day Parade will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. The Veterans Day Parade is sponsored by the XIT Rangers. The event is to honor and show our appreciation to all those who have served or are now serving our great country.
“We would appreciate the support of our local students, Dalhart High School Band, area businesses and the entire community to help make this event a success,” stated Dick Knight, XIT Ranger and former Veteran.  Anyone wishing to participate in the parade is welcome. There will be two floats decorated and ready for our local veterans to ride and special cars for Gold Star Families, Purple Heart Veterans and P.O.W.’s.  Anyone who would like to ride in the parade can call Knight at 806-930-1712.
