Jotting Judi - Eight Legs Too Many
Emerging from the 2008 movie “Bucket List” staring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, I turned to my husband and told him it was the dumbest movie I’d ever seen. I mean, who would make a list like that and then actually set out to accomplish it before they die. How morbid can one get? I was sorry I’d wasted the evening.
These two men were fighting the ticking clock called “terminal illness.” Many others, gaze at the sand in their hourglass of life wishing they could plug the hole and slow down the relentless progression of passing time.
It has been said that 60 is the new 40 and more recently, 80 is the new 40. Countless people have chosen to accomplish amazing things in the “sunset’ years of life. At age 95, Nola Ochs became the oldest person to graduate from college. Mary Armstrong, age 101, is the oldest recorded skydiver. Sam McMillian began his career as a painter at age 60. A guy name Frank is still water skiing at 100, while Helena continues to run marathons at 83!
