Yes! It’s a karaoke block party

Preparation for the 12th annual block party hosted by the City of Dalhart and the Dalhart Area Chamber of Commerce is under way. The hosts of the family favorite event have set the date for Saturday, September 22, 2012, beginning at 6:00 p.m. The street party takes place on Denrock Avenue from Second to Fifth Streets. Employees for the City of Dalhart have been restriping the parking spaces and testing electrical outlets to ensure the annual party goes off without a hitch.
The annual block party is an event that brings guests downtown to the historic part of Dalhart. “Keep the Shine on Denrock,” has become an exciting time for the entire family. The delicious food, fun filled games and this year’s local entertainment will keep everyone smiling.
The children will be entertained with bounce houses, face painting and pony rides.  Diners will have their palettes tickled with old favorites and culinary delights with the fantastic food vendors participating in this year’s bash.
