Mexican Mangos recalled

United Supermarkets as a precautionary measure has pulled the Mexican-grown mangos in any form from the shelves. The voluntary removal is due to possibility of Salmonella contamination. Other supermarkets across the country are also voluntarily recalling the mangoes.  United says they do not believe any of the contaminated fruits were sold in their stores, but are making customers aware of the situation as a precaution.
Daniella Brand mangoes PLU #4959 are the source of the possible Salmonella origin but in addition five fresh cut fruit products have also been removed from the produce isles. 10 ounce Seasonal Blend, 16 ounce Seasonal Blend, 10 ounce Strawberry Kiwi Mango, 16 ounce Strawberry Kiwi Mango and 10 ounce Mango Spears are the items that could possibly be contaminated.
Any of these items purchased from August 12 through August 28, 2012 should be returned to any United Supermarket for a full refund.
