Three arrested for burglary

The Dalhart Police Department arrested three individuals on Friday, June 12th. The arrests stemmed from two separate burglaries that had occurred in Dalhart just days before.
The department’s investigations of the burglaries lead to the arrest of suspect Zachary Scott Bruce, a white male, age 25, and suspect Alfred “A.J.” Vigil, a white male, age 19. Both Bruce and Vigil were arrested on Hartley County Justice of the Peace arrest warrants for burglary of a building. The warrants were executed early Friday.
The arrest of Bruce and Vigil related to a burglary that occurred on June 10th in the 1200 block of Highway 87 South. According to officials with the Dalhart Police Department, “A break in the case came when a local citizen came forward with information that officers were able to corroborate.”
A third suspect was arrested on Friday as well. Richard Randy Bogart, a white male, age 28, was arrested in connection with an unrelated burglary of a building. That burglary occurred on June 11th in the 1200 block of Sagebrush. Lt. Mike Ford with the department stated in a June 16th Press Release, “Evidence at the scene lead officers to Bogart’s residence where some of the stolen items were recovered.” All three criminal suspects were transported to the Dallam/Hartley County Jail and booked.
At arraignment, bonds for Bruce were set at $10,000 for burglary of a building and $5,000 for an additional charge of evading arrest. Vigil’s bond was set at $10,000 for burglary of a building. Bond for Bogart was set at $10,000 for burglary of a building.
The Dalhart Police Department has attributed many solved cases to information local residents brought forward that lead to the arrest of criminal suspects. Credible evidence provided by residents can be an invaluable tool that furthers investigations and often leads to arrest.
