Reception in honor of Quilters
The Dalhart Senior Citizens Center held a Coffee Reception on Wednesday, May 27th recognizing the centers quilters. The reception began at 10:30 a.m. in the center’s gathering room with coffee and pastries. Quilts were on display to be viewed and are available for purchase, a special quilters poem was read, a great time of fellowship, along with special comments given by quilters and Board of Directors, Phil Davis, Rebecca Amyx and Lyndell Hall were all part of the appreciation shown toward our quilters.
Certificates and tokens of appreciation were included in the reception. The quilters that donate time to the center through their labors are very important to the center; for instance, they donated nearly $2,500.00 to pay for necessary repairs to the A/C at the center before summertime arrived. Because of their hard work and time spent for the center, the center and Dalhart are a better place!
If you know of a quilter in the community of Dalhart, please take time out to thank them for their generosity in the time they give. Once again, we deeply appreciate the Dalhart Senior Center Quilters for all you do for the center!
